Botox as a Mood Enhancer?

June 30th, 2018 by ifi-admin

CTMAX_botoxWhether you think of it as an entry-level cosmetic procedure or perhaps the ultimate gift from Heaven, you probably think of Botox simply as an injectable that temporarily paralyses muscles, thereby erasing or preventing lines and wrinkles.

However, Botox has uses beyond simple aesthetics. It’s commonly related to treatment for migraines (sometimes as a last resort), or to reduce oil production, which can lead to acne, to calm excessive sweating or even to treat spasticity movement disorders such as multiple sclerosis or cerebral palsy.

The Rise of Non-Surgical Options

August 1st, 2017 by ifi-admin

Popular OptionsAfter years of steady rises, it may come as a bit of a surprise to some that cosmetic surgery is on the decline. Many surgeons are also reporting a reduction in the number of procedures a patient has at one time. Instead of several simultaneous procedures, patients are opting for single ones. More often than not, the economy and job insecurity is getting blamed.

However, there is a rise in what you can have done without surgery. Many people don’t have the time to spend two weeks off work recovering from a facelift but want a little bit of improvement, so they’re looking at non-surgical options.

When is the right time to start with injectables?

May 8th, 2017 by ifi-admin

agingWhile we know that the use of injectables is trending up, it’s not simply because men are beginning to utilize injectables or that the Gen X’ers are coming of the target age. According to the experts, they’ve seen an influx of younger (Gen Y) patients opting for preventative treatments sooner rather than later.

So, when is the right age to start?

Anti-Aging Treatments are Trending

May 8th, 2017 by ifi-admin

trendingToday, you walk into a room and you’re not sure how old anyone is anymore. Much of it is due to the increased use of injectable anti-aging treatments.

Technically, injectables are supposed to make you look younger, and they certainly can. They smooth lines. They restore contours that flatten with age. They lift droopy brows and slackening jawlines.

We were injected more than 6.6 million times, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. That’s a nearly 40 percent increase from just five years ago. This is due, in part, to:

  • more Generation Y (aka echo boomers or millenials) coming of target age
  • starting treatments at younger ages
  • and men starting to participate in injectable use

We All Have Choices

October 10th, 2016 by ifi-admin

ctmax_choice_smlLet’s face it, we’ve all made decisions that, in hindsight, were less than optimal. It might not have been a single BIG decision that didn’t work out, but a series of small ones that were contributing factors. From the image to the left, we might imagine that there were several at play here.

First, the decision to go to that night club. The second might have been to strike up that conversation with her. The third could have been to have, perhaps, one too many adult beverages which easily led to the fourth of heading out to that all night tattoo parlor.

Later, when you come to realize the need to change the result of those little decisions, you NOW have a choice… You can COVER IT and pretend it never happened or you may choose to visit CTMAX and ERASE IT to make it look like it never happened.

Promises, promises, promises

November 22nd, 2015 by ifi-admin

face-makerEvery year new and more products show up that promise to “tighten your face and make you look younger”.

Items such as this ‘Face Maker’, or the ‘Wrinkle Vacuum for Forehead lines’, or the “Face Lines Face Belt’ all allegedly designed to reduce those ‘smile lines’ or ‘forehead lines’ or other wrinkles. And these are just a few of the dozen of products showing up on the internet. More than likely, the only thing they reduce is the money in your purse or wallet.

On the otherhand, CTMAX only offers well-researched, well-vetted, and proven technologies and products. This includes our recent line of prescription-only Obagi products such as Nu-Derm and C-Rx.

We promise that at CTMAX, you won’t find items like this that will leave you looking trussed up like a Thanksgiving Turkey.

August 6th, 2015 by ifi-admin

Some tatts are cute. Some are quite ornate. Many make a statement or tell a story. Some are regrettable, and some might just land you in jail in some places.

That’s so cool

June 30th, 2015 by ifi-admin

We like things that are seemingly opposite but are actually complementary. Think ‘sweet and sour’, ‘sun and moon’, and/or ‘Popeye and Olive Oil’. This duality is often referred to as yin and yang as opposed to oxymora such as ‘jumbo shrimp’, the ‘great depression’, and/or ‘walking dead’ which are juxtaposed elements that are contradictory.

Similarly, CTMAX FACE has its own yin/yang at work for your benefit.
